Jesus doesn't just
love
us. He has a
PASSION
for us, a passion that we could never
come close
to understanding.
If His love was the
UNIVERSE,
our most advanced understanding
of his love
would be like a
single atom
plucked out of space.
Our closest attempt at
describing
that love would be like scraping off the
surface of that atom
and expressing it in
song, words, images, our own behavior,
or other mediums.
Jesus doesn't just
love
us. His passion is greater than the
love of a groom for his bride
or the
love of a father for his child.
His love is the sacrificial kind of love,
the kind of love that would go through the
worst kind of torture
and the most painful type of death
for His beloved.
And this is exactly what He did: He died the most horrific type of death for
YOU.
Only someone who loved us with a love
far beyond
what we could ever understand
would make the sacrifice
that Jesus made for us.
